Channel icons not appearing

I've subscribed to two streaming channels, MAX and Paramount +, when I try and add the icons to my home Roku screen, all I get is an error message, the icons won't load. Why?

    Hi, Andrewbl55316.

    Greetings from the Roku Community!

We appreciate you reaching out for support. Rest assured that we'll help you access your subscription accounts on the Max and Paramount Plus apps.

In addition to what our Community Expert asked, it would be great if you could provide us with the error messages prompted. Also, please be informed that even if you activated your Roku device in the US, using this to another location where Roku isn't offered would cause playback issues or no playback at all.

Furthermore, if your subscription to Paramount Plus is billed via Roku, we recommend accessing this via The Roku Channel.

We'll be anticipating your update so we can provide you with a swift resolution.

    Best regards,
    Carly

Thanks, Carly, I like the idea of community support, and the prompt response you sent. There was no error message per se. Rather, the stream just stopped operating so that I had to press the home button repeatedly to exit out of the frozen channel. It has happened on Netflix, Prime Video and PBS. It's a transient problem, only happening intermittently. I subscribe to the explanation that it's a software issue, rather than the Roku TV itself. Whether it's the Roku TV software, or the streaming channel, it's impossible to say.  Before we replaced our LG TV with this Roku TV, we never had this concern. Sadly, the screen freezing issue didn't begin until about 45 days after we'd purchased the unit, so we couldn't return the TV for another brand.  If Roku can't straighten this out, without too much involvement from me trying to find a solution, I may just dump the TV and buy a name brand to see if the issue persists. Thanks again.

        Hello, Andrewbl55316

        Thanks for your response.

We get that you're having an issue with Netflix, Prime Video, and PBS, which have frozen screens. We'd like to take a closer look at this issue.

        Share with us the following:

        • Model and software version of your Roku TV
        • Does the frozen screen issue happen while trying to launch the apps, or does it happen during streaming?
        • What are the troubleshooting steps that you have tried so far?

        Keep us posted.

What's the error message and where are you located?  Not all apps are available in all regions/countries.
