Channel audio is in Spanish despite settings all being set to English

I have a family member whose Newsmax channel has changed the audio to Spanish.  All settings that we could find are set to English.  The rest of the Roku is fine.  We already tried logging out and deleting and re-adding the app to try to reset with no luck.  I saw several posts like this but no clear solutions.

    If the issue persists, we advise you to contact Newsmax support and inquire further about this matter. It is important to note that the channel provider directly manages content from an app, and they can resolve any issues with their content by developing an update.

    Disconnected power from Roku for 15 min. then reconnected and the problem was gone. This worked for me.

    Same problem here with my in-laws Newsmax+ using the Roku 4K express. This is a headache altogether! They got the app specifically for the live option and it’s completely in Spanish. Something needs to be done since they are paying for the subscription.

      Thanks for bringing up the issue regarding the Spanish audio with the Newsmax app.

      We are aware of complaints that the channel partner has Spanish audio and subtitles and have made Newsmax aware. Our team will also proceed to investigate this matter.

      To assist us with the investigation, we would like to request the following details below:

      • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
      • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
      • Channel build version (This can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button).

      Keep us posted, and our team will work on this issue at the earliest.

        Why is Roku streaming Newsmax live in Spanish instead of English? All other channels are in English.

    Can anyone help my Newsmax on Roku has changed his language to Spanish, and I have tried every setting and cannot get it to go back to English

    my solution after waiting on Roku Chat for 25 minutes to get someone was to highlight the Newsmax tile, press the asterisk, click on check for updates and when is says app is updated click close and then open the newsmax app and it will be back to English, at least mine did.
