Cannot watch anything on the roku channel. not on my computer, phone, or devices.

it says on the browser. on my phone it says it cannot play at this time and to try again later. I have rebooted my phone multiple times, removed the app and reinstalled it. I have rebooted the router still no luck. I do not see how its something on my end that I can actually control to fix this.
worked 2 days ago stopped working yesterday.

  • Same issue on both Roku devices, smart tv, basic tv, phone, computer, firestick.

    And Roku support is NOT assisting with this issue.   I recommend we all drop ROKU and move to TUBI.

    Does the issue only occur on a specific channel or inside  The Roku Channel or across other channels installed on your Roku device?

    Are all the other streaming channels operating normally? How long has the issue existed and what troubleshooting done to resolve the issue?

      I am on https://therokuchannel.roku.com/
      every video I have tried that isn't specifying a different company fails to play. same thing on my phone and tv. (tv is using roku device)
      as an example I have tried to play stargate ark of truth to test, can't play. same with galaxy quest. literally any video I have tried gives the same result. no vpn, no add block running.

        We understand that you are having an issue with your Roku device, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. In order to assist you better, could you please provide us with the following information:

        • The model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version of your Roku device. You can find these by going to Settings > System > About.
        • Is this issue happening on a specific channel? If so, what channel and what version/build is it? You can find this information by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button.
        • Tracker ID when the issue occurs. When you see the issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID.
        • Steps to reproduce the issue you are experiencing.
        • A screenshot of what is being shown on the screen.

        Once we have this information, we will be able to investigate further and assist you in resolving the issue.

  • seems to work pretty well on my android device but in PC dosen't work

      phone or computer. I know its related to something changed on there front part of it to the show itself and my router, I just do not know what changed on there system to correct it. and lo and behold no one from roku is responding.

        I'm having the exact same problem.  My Roku Ultra, FireTV and computer show errors when attempting to access only the ROKU Channel.  ALL other channels and apps work fine.  

        If I disconnect my smart phone from my network and use the Hot Spot via cell service (not on my home network), to connect the ROKU Ultra to the internet, the ROKU Channel works fine.  

        Clearly, there is an issue with my router or modem that is blocking only the ROKU channel.  Any idea what this could be?  

  • Same for me. I only use Roku with my mobile phone, no tv or other devices. I've tried 4 using Firefox, safari, chrome, Microsoft Edge Samsung internet all with same error message. It's got nothing to do with internet connection which was solid the whole time. Would be nice to get refunded for the month or more that we haven't been able to use this service.

      How about giving it a try by connecting your mobile phone to a different network and seeing if you're still seeing the same issue occur?

  • This is happening very frequently for me as well, multiple titles on (both shows and movies) https://therokuchannel.roku.com/

    Issues with both Firefox and Chrome, clearing cache doesn't help at all.

    Very cryptic error: "Something went wrong"

      do you have the app on your phone so you can test it on your wireless, and data plan?

        Can I have a solution.

        Whilst I cannot view any programme on the Roku channel whilst on wifi, I can view some selected programmes on the ROKU channel on my cell. I also cannot cast from the cell to the tv whilst I am on the ISP Data, however the app itself does not lend itself to the usual monkey see monkey do IMO it is badly designed as the first thing on the app it says quote the Roku channel has moved, which indicates that ROKU has done something at their end.

        My question to ROKU is it their intention that the ROKU channel has ports closed  for whatever reason. Why the ROKU app does not respond  similarly to apps like Pluto Cracker etc!.

        ROKU fault is that some isp's work and some isp's do not work.

        My question is why does ROKU not configure there interface so that all ports respond in the same way as say Pluto. They must have an hidden agenda.

        It is not rocket science for this to be done!!
