Can I perform a packet capture of traffic using wireshark?

I am trying to understand how network traffic flows thru Roku Streaming device (Roku stick). Can I use wireshark to perform this task? If I were to watch Netflix as an example, what info will I beseeing in network traffic patterns? I am using a Streaming Stick 4K.
