- Press the Home button on your Roku remote
- Highlight the app you want to remove by moving right
- Press the Star button on your remote to open the Options menu
- Select Remove app and confirm when prompted
I would also suggest doing a system restart before reinstalling the app to clear the cache.... Settings, system, power, system restart
Or you can unplug the Roku device for 30 to 60 seconds.

Thanks, however when I select app and hit star button, remove app is not an option.
I have an annual subscription and I turned it off for next year but says can’t remove app if you have a current subscription. Makes no sense.
I restarted and that did not help. Thanks for responding tho. I will keep trying to work with Britbox. I have spent hours already☹️- makaiguyCommunity Streaming Expert
You can use the official Roku remote app on an Android/iOS phone/tablet (https://www.roku.com/mobile-app) to remove a channel that you cannot remove via the standard Roku user interface. .
When in the Roku remote app on you mobile device:
• At the bottom of the first screen, click "Devices", and if necessary connect to one of your Roku devices.
• In your connected device click on "Apps on Roku".
• Click AND HOLD the channel you wish to remove (a quick click will bring up the remote controls instead).
• Click on "Remove" and confirm.
Note that this will remove the channel from your Roku account, but it will NOT cancel any paid subscription you may have for this channel.
- Press the Home button on your Roku remote
