Bloomberg TV captions won't turn off

I have Roku's system-wide captions turned on because I use captions on most of the streaming apps such as Netflix. However, I do not want captions in the Bloomberg TV app. So, when Bloomberg TV app plays, I turn off the captions option within Bloomberg TV. I do it by opening the captions option in Bloomberg TV, turning it off, and pressing the Back button on the Roku remote. 

However, when return to Bloomberg TV the next day, the captions have turned back on. It is quite annoying in spite of many attempts. How to turn off the captions in Bloomberg TV without turning off captions system-wide in Roku?

    Have you tried doing the fix below and seeing if there's any difference?

    1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
    2. Restart your Roku device: Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart Now.
    3. Reinstall the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Streaming Store and add the channel again.

     

    Still not working? You may need to reach out to Bloomberg support directly for additional help!
