I am having the same issue with Vix and Canela TV, both spanish language channels. I am guessing this a Roku problem, or at least something they could fix on their end. It is possible that both Vix and Canela are not coding their closed captioning correctly for Roku, but seems like Roku should be able to handle this.
As I long time Roku user, I am becoming increasingly annoyed with their product. Too many things do not work, or do not work easily.
