Bentkey hanging when opening app

New kids channel Bentkey launched on Oct 16.   I was able to download and login just fine.   Today I tried to open the app and after the splash screen the screen redraws as pale purple and hangs.   

I was able to uninstall and reinstall and login directly.    Once you leave the app and return to it the app hangs again.  

Please advise.   #bentkey

    Let's try some troubleshooting steps to see if makes any improvement to the channel's performance. Kindly follow the steps below.

    1. Remove the affected channel by highlighting it from the channel tile, and pressing the star (*) button. Then select the remove option.
    2. Do a system restart by navigating to Settings > System > System Restart.
    3. Add the channel back by searching for it from the "Streaming Store."

    Please let us know how it works.

    Same thing happened to me and I was able to fix it. Go to the Bentkey website and login with DW credentials.  It will say you already have access then make you create a Bentkey password. Once I created a Bentkey password, the app started working.

  • The exact same thing is happening for me on my roku with Bentkey. I checked and my roku is up to date.

    Hi Community Users,

    We appreciate you making us aware of the issue.

    To properly reboot the channel, kindly follow the correct sequence: Remove channel > Restart device > Add channel. Also, may we know if this issue is only persistent in the Bentkey streaming app? or is it also happening on other channels? A reboot on the router might also help if it's the latter.

      Happening to me too. Only on the Roku though. Seems to work fine on my iPhone.

      I am having a similar issue. Mine seems to be in a loop where I am logged in but it asks for my birthday then asks me to log in again, over and over. We're unable to play anything in Bentkey. I tried this and unfortunately it did not work. I also tried going into the website and logging in. That did not work either. The app works on my phone so it is only the TV app that is not working.

        Did you setup a new password for “Bentkey”?(it could be the same pw but it would specifically ask you to set your Bentkey pw). 

  • FIXED without re-download. Highlight channel, hit *, check for updates, ok. Fixed. 

  • Is there a way to get the shows to automatically play the next one. We are watching Pirata for our grandson, and it either just ends, no menu, no next episode. Or it just replays the same episode over and over, unless we do something. I tried looking for settings in the App/Roku Channel, but could not find this.

      May we first know which specific app you are trying to stream the Pirata show? Is this a series? Also, can you please tell us if this is the Pirata series released in 2016? You can check the details by pressing the star* button on your remote. 

      Furthermore, if you are streaming this on an independent app, we highly recommend reaching out to them for Support for the reason of, they have their own features built into. They also created, maintained, and updated their own app on the Roku streaming platform.

        Hi, this is on the BentKey App/Roku Channel. Yes it is the Pirata & Capitano series originally released in 2016. We can watch it. Just don't seem to be able to have it go from one episode right to the next one. If I need to ask the people who created/maintain the BentKey App/Channel, can you at least give me a contact email address for them. I tried finding this on Google and could not.
