This issue does indeed seem to be resolved with the new update, released this evening (7-6-2022).
Yup - just checked my 3820EU and it was updated ... and both iPlayer and Sounds now work again.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your patience while this issue was being investigated.
We would recommend checking for a channel update by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button > Check for updates.
Once the channel is updated, try seeing if you able to access the channel again.
Please keep us posted what you find out.
Happy Streaming!

Seems to have done the trick. Thanks to Roku for getting this fix pushed through so quickly.

Ditto, just checked this morning (06:45) and it's now working. At least someone seems to have been on the ball last night!

BBC iplayer and BBC sounds have stopped working on my 3920 Roku Premier with the error code 02056 message. This occurred sometime between 16th June and 4th July. All remedial actions shown on this forum have been taken, in precisely the order listed, all without success. Two different iplayer accounts, both of which work on other devices have been tried without success.
if it is if any interest my device is running software version 11.0.0 build 4193-91.

Gordon1950 You might confirm with the BBC that the 3920 is a supported Roku player. Some users have reported that devices that once worked were considered unsupported, and BBC basically "broke" them. I don't know where they maintain their supported device list, but there might be a web page somewhere.

Hi.
My Roku bar won't allow bbc iplayer content to load even after multiple updates, restarts, updates, restarts and even more restarts.
I can load the channel, and sign in to BBC, but can't open any content.
The error code states that the issue is with the roku app.

Gcooksey does the BBC list the Roku Soundbar as a supported device? The BBC only supports a limited number of Roku devices, and their channel will not work on an unsupported device.
If it is supported, then yes there's an issue with the app/channel, and for that you need to contact the BBC. They created the channel and provide the support for it.
