AppleTV channel not working. Why?

I go to AppleTV channel, and just get black screen. When i hit remote buttons, I see time slider, title of last show episode I was viewing, I can fast forward and rewind the time slider, but black video and no audio. Why? I have 3 months free subscription to AppleTV included with device. I still have like 2.5 months remaining on that

 

I checked to confirm I am on the latest Roku firmware, and AppleTV app is on latest version. No other apps have issues... just Apple

    Welcome to the Roku Community. 

    We can see that you are only experiencing the playback issue with the Apple TV channel. Have you tried to remove the channel? If you haven't tried it yet, you can remove the affected channel and re-install it. 

    To ensure the process is successful, restart your device before adding the channel back in. We would recommend doing this from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.) > System restart.
