Apple TV library won’t load

I use the Roku stick 3810x. The « Library » tab of the Apple TV app won’t load. Error message “Library Not Available. There were errors loading your library. Wait a moment, then try again”. I tried everything (Roku reset, removed and reinstalled the Apple TV app, etc) but problem persists. I can still watch content in the « Watch Now » list. I also have access to the « Store » tab. Only titles in the « Library » tab won’t load. After a few minutes, if I go back to the « Library » tab, titles have magically reappeared and I can watch a show. No playback problem. The library seems to « appear » and « disappear » randomly.  I have been having this problem for about a week. All other apps on my Roku stick work flawlessly (Netflix, Prime Video, BritBox, CraveTV). Any hints?

  • I had the same problem with Apple tv app on two Samsung TVs and a Fire stick 4k. It turned out that the problem was the default DNS settings on my router. I set it to Google (8.8.8.8) and rebooted the router so all the clients get the new DNS and now library loads on all the devices without any issues.

If it helps my ISP is Videotron.

    Hi Dominic_Mtl

    Thank you for the post!

There could be a few reasons why your Apple TV library won't load on your Roku. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    • Make sure your Roku device is up to date: Go to Settings > System > System update on your Roku and check for any available updates. If there is an update available, install it and try accessing your Apple TV library again.
    • Restart your Roku device: Sometimes simply restarting your Roku device can resolve the issue. To do this, go to Settings > System > Power > System restart on your Roku.
    • Uninstall and reinstall the Apple TV app: Go to Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Applications > Manage installed applications on your Roku. Find the Apple TV app and select it, then choose Uninstall. After the app is uninstalled, restart your Roku device and reinstall the Apple TV app from the Roku Channel Store.
    • Check your internet connection: Make sure your Roku device is connected to the internet and has a strong signal. You can check your internet connection by going to Settings > Network on your Roku.
    • Contact Apple TV support: If none of the above steps work, contact Apple TV support for further assistance. They may be able to help you troubleshoot the issue or escalate it to their technical support team if necessary.

I hope this helps you resolve the issue and enjoy your Apple TV library on your Roku!

    Warm regards,
    Lianna

Thanks for your suggestions. I had already tried everything you mention with no success. I am waiting for a call back from Apple.

  • I have the same problem. Pretty frustrated since I purchased movie via my phone and now can’t watch it on Roku TCL TV.

My Roku Ultra had a software update two weeks ago (OS 12) and the Apple TV app works fine now. But my TCL Roku TV is still running on OS 11.5 and the library still won’t load. We just have to wait for the software update I guess.

        Hi RokuNimfa-C

I can't enable Bridge Mode with my setup.

This worked few months ago and nothing changed in my connection, that means that either Roku/TCL or Apple changed something in their updates that broke things for people, so you guys should figure this out. There are A LOT of people who are not technical enough to do such task.
