Apple TV app has no sound

All of my apps have sound and work except for the Apple TV app. The movie will play but has no sound. The Roku device I have is a 3800X and is connected to a ONN projector. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the post.

Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.

Does this clear up the issue you are seeing?

    Thanks,
    Danny

  • I tried everything in this thread and it didn't work. I was logging in to Apple tv using the code on my phone instead of through the roku (typing in user id/ password). So as a last ditch effort, I logged in by typing my credentials into the roku. It worked fine after that!

Thanks for leaving this information. It finally worked once I entered my credentials

I finally got this to work after adjusting Roku's audio settings. Mine was set to Dolby Digital, and when I changed it to Auto it started working.

I also have this problem and have tried all of the above.

I am using a Roku device and this only happens on the Apple TV channel. I have tried removing the app, restarting the device  and re-adding it. I have tried logging in via the QR code and via the credentials. I have tried changing the audio mode, streaming audio format and digital output format. I have tried resetting the Apple TV app within the channel. This has been occurring for up to a month.

    Can you please help?

    Thanks

Can a Roku employee please answer my question?

        Hi PKC

We apologize for the delay in response.

The channel developer themselves maintains channels on Roku. We suggest reaching out to Apple TV's customer support team to report the issue and get help. There's likely an issue within that specific channel that needs to be addressed with an update from them.

You can contact them here: TV Support - Official Apple Support

        Thank you for your understanding.

        All the best,
        Kariza

I tried this and it didn’t work. I’m using a Roku Ultra. What else can I do?

Go to Audio in the Settings and change the HDMI to PCM-Stereo. That’s what worked for me.
