American Horrors Channel, Classic not working

American Horrors Channel, Classic is no longer working. Just get an error code to the affect that you might have a slow internet connection OR there is something wrong with the program and to contact the provider.

Does anyone know if this channel is being supported anymore or is it dead? If dead, WHY can't these providers either pull the channel or let us viewers know.

  • Hi 33sarge,

    Thanks for keeping us posted!

It may be best to contact the channel provider's support directly and inform them about this issue. Most channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel providers.

We hope that his issue will be resolved sooner.

    All the best,
    Kash

  • Hi 33sarge,

Thank you for keeping us informed about the issue with the American Horror Channel. If the troubleshooting steps are not effective, we strongly advise you to escalate the matter to the channel's support team. It's important to note that Roku simply hosts the channel on the platform and does not have direct management control over it.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can further assist you.

    Thanks,
    Rey

  • Has anyone checked this channel since my question from last month? I find it hard to believe that no one watches this channel. Just like to know if it's just me or is the channel "kaput".

      Hi 33sarge,

      Thank you for this post.

We understand your concern regarding this channel. May we know the following:

      • What error code or message have you been receiving?
      • Is the issue only persistent in this channel?
      • Have you tried removing and adding back the channel?

With further details, we'll be able to provide a better resolution.

      Thanks,
      Janadee

        Channel Error (91-5662390c).

        Says;

Sorry, this channel is temporarily unavailable. This may be caused by a slow internet connection. If your internet connection is ok, please check with the channel owner for more information.

I do not have "slow internet connection".

Have uninstalled and reinstalled this app a couple of times. Both times, rebooted my Roku after deleting the app and prior to reinstalling it.

  • Yeah, this sucks. American Horrors CLASSIC has NEVER WORKED on my Roku. It just says it's unavailable because of my possible (slow internet connection). I have DOWNLOAD SPEED OF 100 Megabites per second. So, this is slow??? I wouldn't think so!! What's up???

No, your internet speed is fine, the issue is with American Horrors Classic Channel. I was able to contact the owner, Mr. Hart a couple of times over the past year. He told me that he would have the Classic channel back up online late last October or early November. When that didn't happen, I reached out again several times and got one reply that it would be back online on Roku the end of May, 2025. Obviously, that hasn't happened. I have not been able to contact him again since his May projection. I have been told he is having issues with sponsors but what I can't understand, why not update his customers as to what is going on? I understand, its HIS channel and he can do what he wants, but a lot of us have watched his channels for years yet he hasn't given us the courtesy of updates. I have deleted the Classic channel and if and when it ever comes back and I find out about it, then maybe I'll reinstall it. His main channel has been off the air for quite awhile again. On that I was told he had issues and that it would off for a day or two. Last I checked, it had been off for 7-10 days. Been out of town recently, so haven't checked it for awhile. Hopefully it's back online.

Yes, you're right. The REGULAR (American Horrors) channel was off for the last 10 to 14 days, but it is running again now.
