AMC+ application not working??

Same problem different tv! I have the Roku tv 50r4ax and this problem started after a family member deleted the app off another Roku device in the house! Now it works on the other devices except mine...

    We appreciate the troubleshooting steps process that you have tried trying to fix the issue. We would like to investigate the issue further.

    Let's see if this will work for you.

    Check your Roku device connection

    1. Press Home on your Roku remote
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select Network
    4. Select Check connection

    Reset your Roku device network connection

    1. Press Home on your Roku remote 
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select Advanced System settings
    4. Select Network connection reset
    5. Select Reset connection

    After the network reset is done, your Roku device will restart, and you will need to return to the Settings menu and set up your wireless network again.

    If the issue continues, please let us know.

The problem is limited to AMC+; all other channels work fine. Apart from the single working Ultra, the app has never worked on any of our other Roku devices since installing in the last few months. The app logo will load, followed by the splash animation, followed by the black screen. As the OP indicated, I can trigger a “close app” selection on the black screen by pressing the back button, but content never loads.

It is advised to contact AMC+ support and inquire further about the issue. They can provide you with a workaround or can create an update with their app to resolve the issue.

Take note that most apps on Roku are directly managed by their respective app providers.

    RokuTakashi will the update that was to my Ultra, April 2025, work with the Express 4k that has the January update? If so, I think the AMC+ app would start working with the Express like it does with my Ultra if it gets updated.

    Thanks for the inquiry!

    The channel developers themselves maintain channels on Roku. In this case, an issue within that specific channel likely needs to be addressed with an update from them.

    Heads up Csm2067…it looks like AMC+ is working on my Express 4Ks as of this morning! Hopefully yours will work too now. Fingers crossed!
