Amazon Prime Video code

I have set up my ROKU Express and it seems to be working. But when I try to get Amazon Prime Video I have problems. I have a code on the TV screen but I can't get ROKU to accept this code. I've tried several time but it just says not recognised. Any thoughts?

It's not clear what you're trying to do.  If Amazon Prime is showing a code then you wouldn't use that on Roku's website.

I'm trying to get Amazon Prime video on my TV. I have an Amazon account. With ROKU, I click on the Amazon icon and it asks me to open the Amazon account and enter the code that it (ROKU) shows.

I go to Amazon and all I can see to do is activate another device. This asks me for a code. When I enter the TV code it just says it's incorrect.

      And there I am, stuck.

I'd suggest removing the Prime channel from the Roku, reboot the Roku (very important, don't skip this step), then add the channel and try again. Sounds like something in the channel isn't working correctly.

  • Thanks all. It's now fixed and up and running OK.

        Thanks for the post.

Channel availability/access on Roku devices will vary from region to region. A Roku device will work in any location, however, channels may not be available on your device in that location, based on each channel provider's discretion. For more information, you'd want to contact any specific channel/service provider to inquire further about whether they offer their channel/service on the Roku platform in your region.

        Thanks,
        Danny

Whenever you get a link code on a Roku app, you should enter it at the URL that is displayed in that app.  This will vary based on the app.  Tivoburkee  gave the Amazon link URL earlier in the thread, and that may still be valid (though that was posted over 2 years ago.) Be careful searching the net for answers of this type. While there are correct answers, scammers will also post stuff attempting to lead you to scam websites where they attempt to collect money or payment information for themselves.

How do I get Amazon Prime set up to Roku

As mentioned previously. When you open Prime Video, it asks you to enter a code on the Amazon web site. If you aren't getting the code, do the remove, reboot, install channel mentioned above.

  • I'm trying to enter the amazon code on the Roku screen but do not know how? Please help

You don't enter the code on the Roku. You log into your Amazon account and enter the code there. The screen on the Roku should tell you what web address to go to. Just make sure you type the complete address in your web browser, and don't accept any browser suggestions for the site. The scammers have branched out to more than just the Roku registration site.
