Thank you for your reply. But that is very disappointing. I paid the same price for the device as everyone else. I do not understand why Roku cannot figure this out with Amazon and have the app included.
Its not like Amazon prime is banned in Germany or something. So, it is not a country regulation issue. It is more of a Roku issue.
That link you posted leads me to an Amazon page. I paid Roku for the device. So, I expect support from Roku and not 3rd parties.
I had very high hopes for Roku since the last year when I bought this. But frankly, there has been no value addition in the last one year. On the contrary, you have removed the Amazon prime app.
Very disappointed.
Also, I do not think it is appropriate that you mark your own comment as the "Solution". It is not the solution.

I understand your frustration, but please understand that channel access by country is completely under the control of the channel provider, in this case Amazon. It is not a Roku issue. Roku has no power at all to make it available. Why a provider decides to offer their service in a particular location, but not make it available on all platforms, it something only they can answer. But Amazon is who you must place the pressure on to make the change.
And Roku did not remove the Prime app if you had it previously, unless Amazon themselves required them to do so. There's no reason for Roku to do such a thing, as it lowers the value of the device for the user. Again, it was completely the doing of Amazon, not Roku.
This is the only solution Roku can provide. You must take it up with Amazon.

Hi,
I live in Paraguay, the Amazon Video app works on my smart TV, but the Amazon Video app is not available on my Roku Premiere.
I wrote to Amazon technical support to ask what the problem is and they answered that the problem is that Roku does not enable the app for my country.
Please let the managers of Roku solve this problem with the Amazon company or we will not buy any more Roku devices.
Why the Roku company does not enable the app??? Is there an official link where I describe the real situation????
Thank you very much.

Egui, Roku doesn't enable apps for any country - the developer of the app does. When the developer chooses what countries to support the list only includes countries Roku supports. Roku has a limited list of countries that they support and Paraguay isn't one of them. If Roku doesn't support your country they obviously don't care if anyone there buys their devices. If they did, they would support your country, so your threat means nothing to them. There is one other option you can take up with Amazon - there's the "Rest of world" selection a developer can make, but that's up to Amazon and I doubt you'll get ahold of anyone at Amazon that understands that.
For reference, here's the list of countries:
United States
Argentina
Australia
Brazil
Canada
Chile
Colombia
Costa Rica
El Salvador
France
Germany
Guatemala
Honduras
Ireland
Mexico
Nicaragua
Panama
Peru
Rest of World

renojim ,
I understand from your answer that Roku has the Amazon video application enabled in only 19 countries out of a total of more than 200 countries in the world. And I think that with this deficit instead of increasing Roku users it will do the opposite. For my part and other users we are not going to buy more Roku devices.
And I'm only talking about the Amazon Video app, what about the other major apps?
Roku should have a clearer exposure to understand which apps do not work in countries.
