A possible solution to apps not opening

My paramount plus app wasn't opening even though it did perfectly last month. When I would try to open it it would immediately kick me out and send me back to my home screen. I followed the instructions of uninstalling the app and turning the TV off and back on and reinstalling the app like it instructed on this support type of pages and nothing worked. So after that I went to the settings of the TV, went to system software and updated it, now it works perfect. If anyone has this issue with any of their channel apps this could possibly help correct it when all the other steps fail.☺️

    Regarding restarting your Roku:

    For Roku TV users reading this: if you have "Fast TV start" enabled, turning the TV off and back on just puts it into and out of a standby state and does NOT give you a complete restart, so use the methods below.

    Depending on your Roku model you'll find the "System restart" option under "Settings > System > Power", or on models without a Power option, under "Settings > System". 

    Pulling the power plug for a few seconds then plugging it back in will also give you a full restart.

      I have done all the suggestions made, but still cannot get Paramount + to open. It just sends me to the home screen. A month ago it all worked fine. Any other thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated…thank you!
