24P Content at 60Hz Is Nearly Unwatchable

7 months later; Could we have an update?  I hate being snarky, but this idea that the Roku team are working on it sounds like it wasn't ever true. I used to enjoy films on my Roku Ultra, but watching 24P content at 60Hz is pretty much unbearable with all the micro-stuttering.  I regret buying it now.

    Hey, tombardier

We understand you're experiencing micro-stuttering on your Roku Ultra when watching 24P content at 60Hz, making playback nearly unbearable. Can you share more details?

    • What steps have you already tried to fix the issue?
    • When did the issue first start?
    • Is this issue limited to a single app, or does it occur across multiple streaming apps?

In the meantime, you can head over to this link and try the suggested steps.

Let us know when you can!

Hi.  Everyone has gone through all this in this thread: 24 fps no longer working since 10/18 update on roku ultra | Roku Community I also uploaded an image with all the information requested there, which isn't displaying any more for some reason.  This was the post, and last time I checked the image with all the information was present: https://community.roku.com/discussions/apps-and-viewing/24-fps-no-longer-working-since-1018-update-on-roku-ultra/1006150/replies/1057305

We’ll follow up with the team regarding this matter. When you have a moment, could you please resend the following information?

        • Roku device model, Device ID, Serial Number, and Software version (It can be found in Settings > System > About)
        • Tracker ID (Press Home five times, then press Back button five times when the issue occurs.)
        • Channel build version (highlight the channel and press the star (*) button of your Roku remote)
        • Could you let us know the make and model of the TV your Roku Ultra is connected to?
        • Is your Roku Ultra plugged straight into the TV, or does it go through a receiver first?
        • Which app are you using, and what type of content is being streamed? Does this happen all the time or just occasionally?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

tombardier Hello! this is just a suggestion.

Since 24 FPS videos won’t play properly on the Roku Ultra, you can use UniFab (also known as DVDFab) to convert them to a compatible frame rate. To use it effectively, you’ll need at least an Intel Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA RTX 3050 GPU. UniFab’s frame rate conversion feature is called Smoother, and it’s definitely worth checking out—I use it myself, and it works great. I’ve converted several of my movies to 60 FPS, and they turned out amazing.
