2024 Shogun not available on Paramount Plus
Roku search says 2024 version of movie Shogun available on Paramount plus; not so, only the old (1990’s ?) available on Paramount plus.

Read the book and watched the Chamberlain miniseries years ago. Found both engrossing, so was interested in the new production.
Started watching the new version on Hulu or maybe Disney. Production values looked good. Only one soundtrack, which although it is labeled as English, only the Portuguese crew speaks English, Japanese characters speak Japanese in soundtrack with English subtitles. It didn't grab me enough to deal with all those subtitles for a long series, so bailed out midway in episode 2.
I might go back and re-watch the first version on Paramount Plus.
Keeping the Japanese language as Japanese was deliberate as they wanted the viewers to learn and experience it just like the Anjin.
