SmokinTexan I heartily second that emotion! That has to be one of the most obnoxious commercials ever! I race to mute the screen asap, whenever that awful mess of cacophony begins, it's also a lot louder than the programming I may be watching, which only compounds the torture. What are these people thinking? Is Roku seriously trying to lose customers?
Where are you seeing this ad? What company is it advertising for? Even on The Roku Channel, Roku doesn't control all ads

andyrossWhat do you mean Roku doesn't control what ads are shown, even on the Roku Channel? It's their channel, and the ads are for Roku TVs (I guess, since I never see it past the first few seconds), so why would anyone that's not Roku place them? And all the other obnoxious, over-played ads we see, are also for either Roku products, or Roku programming. So it's definitely on Roku, as to what ads, and when & where they're shown. It's bad enough they're almost always louder than the shows (extra annoying, late at night), but the narrator &/or actors almost always are shouting. Can ads not ever have actors speaking in a normal tone of voice? I know if I had no way to either change channels or mute the screen, soon as the commercials hit, I'd have given up long ago.

Hi Steven,
Thanks for your constructive comments.
They imply you got some kind of Roku response?
How? Does Roku get any of this?
Where's the techno abilities?
They usually want all you info to taylor your likes but have failed miserably!
Suggest they offer age and maturity level profile with DisLike Buttons to refine for a pleasant experience. Something like that would indicate they care, else They Don't Care What YOU want.
Thanks again
Rod

Rodno Sorry if I gave you the impression I've had some kind of interaction with Roku Customer Service. But I have just been posting here, like everyone else, still absolutely stunned Roku and all its employees on these boards, have ghosted everyone! I mean c'mon, this is Business 101, or maybe even high school business, that keeping the customers you already have, is IMPORTANT!!
It takes a lot more effort, and cost, to bring in new customers than it is to maintain and please those who already are customers. Plus, satisfied customers will organically bring in more customers, as they will recommend the product to their friends, or via online reviews! Just think if everyone in this discussion were really happy with Roku's customer service, then instead of people becoming frustrated, pissed off, & talking about never buying or even throwing away their Roku products, those reading the comments would be inspired to buy and use more Roku products!
This is not rocket science: happy, satisfied customers means continual increases in the customer base, ie. more profits! SMH...

Ridiculous response. They are everywhere. Roku MADE this ad. And it is alienating consumers.

Please! Remove the Screaming Streaming commercial! For some people with PTSD this commercial is a trigger. I cannot get to my remote quick enough to turn the volume off because it is such a trigger. and seeing that commercial six or seven times a day, makes it worse.
