Roku Widget on iOS 14!

I lose my TV remote all of the time, but I never lose my phone! So I use the ROKU app a lot as my remote.

iOS 14 supports live widgets now and I’d love a remote widget - rather than having to go into the app. I’d like it to have a smaller one and a full screen widget that I would put on its own leg so I can control my TVs right from my iPhone without going into an app.

I know that this solution isn’t the feature/widget that we want/need but it may possibly be a better alternative IMO; you can make a Widget by creating an “Open Roku Remote” shortcut in the Shortcuts app on iOS. Then add the shortcut on to the widgets section/screen to access it to the left from the lockscreen.

It sucks I know, but it works. 👍🏽

I am 100% aware that the app exists but the point of a widget is it just on the home screen and you can just hit a button instead of five clicks it’s two clicks that’s why people like widgets it’s simple I am aware that the app exists

  • We all want a widget Roku! (:

The app is never deleted off of our phones! Widget would be more handy! And imagine how pretty it will be!!
