It would really help if ROKU would consider the needs of seniors and people with disabilities and develop a friendlier, less confusing remote with larger keys and print that is easier to read. These companies seem to overlook that there is a big market out there for people who need a simplified system. The best thing people can do is keep asking for it. Whether ROKU or Firestick develops it, the first will likely be the standard seniors turn to.
I wonder if a mechanical adaptation of the original remote (or any remote) would be possible.
I. E. a case that you slot the original remote into which has bigger buttons that mechanically press the original buttons, hides unnecessary buttons, has a wrist strap and back strap, etc.
I have done something like that at the other end of the age range.. I wire the 3 main remotes I need to a small smooth metal tray to stop the small people in the house loosing them into the sofa cushions etc.
