I also switched to an amazon fire stick. No problems streaming xfinity with the fire stick.
I believe roku has had the issue for near 2 months and they need to pay my cable bill for 2 months.
Hi Community users,
Thanks for following up about the issue with the sound being out of sync when playing content on the Xfinity Stream channel.
We're sorry for the delay in the solution. The team is hard at work investigating the issue, we still haven't received any feedback as of the moment, but rest assured that we'll send the update once we have it.
We appreciate your patience while we investigate this issue.
Best regards,
John

I have 3 roku sticks. I replaced one with a fire stick. The fire stick works fine for me.
I have made several calls and have several open tickets with roku. They are very unresponsive regarding this issue.
My recommendation is to go with a fire stick. At under $50 for the fire stick at Best Buy it’s worth it.
Perhaps some king of class action would motivate roku a bit.
Sad part is I pay xfinity monthly as they claim to operate with roku. I am thinking a class action against both xfinity and roku might make sense. Where are the lawyers when you need one?

I am also having this problem with the audio syncing from the Roku and Xfiniity (all other streaming apps work fine). I have had long discussions with Xfinity (up to the Xfinity president's office) and they state that this is a Roku problem. I have read many posting about this and it states that Roku is working diligently on resolving this issue - for months now. Why does it really take this long with so many people having this problem. Xfinity has given a cable box free for 6 months but changing the hookup is a real pain. And it only covers one TV and we have 4.
Can Roku please fix this?!!!!!! Soon.
We are running Roku OS 12.0.0 Build 4184 and Xfinity 6.12 Build 0

So, I got a new 4k Max Firestick (on a deal day for $34) -after 90 minutes on Fox Business this morning I have had no issues - this usually loses sync in 15-30 minutes on my Roku Ultra. I don't like the interphase as much but can probably get used to it. Again, this only happens on the Xfinity Stream App, so I am convinced there is some compatibility issue based on what commercials play to return to live TV.
This obviously is a frustrating issue for a lot of people!

Chainsaw49, what more frustrating is having invested in TV's that use RokuOS as their platform. I hate the thought of having to stick another streaming OS into my RokuOS TV's just to solve a problem that Roku seems to not care to communicate what their plan is to solve the issue. My whole investment in RokuTV's was to make the viewing experience easier for my wife to navigate the streaming apps. It might be easier to just rent the set top boxes from Xfinity, that way I could also get true Dolby Surround on the channels that have it.

That is another solution - I have an Xfinity box on my main entertainment TV and have no issues with it. I am not a big fan of Xfinity though and my two year deal is up pretty soon. I may be switching to FUBO.

Yea I'm headed to YouTube TV when my Xfinity deals are over later this year.

Kinda defeats the purpose of Streaming, NOT to have to pay $8.95 per Xfinity Cable box at each TV, just because Roku can't fix a problem, which I would guess to be a simple one, if the priority existed on their end.
I too bought a few Smart "Roku TV's" (that are not as Smart as they used to be). Also if having to spend the money changing to a competitor's stick to plug into my existing Smart Roku TV's is my only solution, I should have just kept my old (Dumb TV's) that I could have used to do the same...
Seems like the best solution (till they fix it) is to just exit the streaming app, and go back in (until the next commercial break...)!🤬

I’ve head this problem for months now and neither Roku or Xfinity appear to have done anything about it. I went out today and purchased a FireTV stick 4k and have hooked it up and have had no problems and expect none. I’ll continue to use it and, as I expect, if there aren’t any issues I’ll go out and buy more FireTV sticks for my other TV’s and stop using my Roku’s. You’ve got a problem Roku and need to fix it if you don’t want everyone to stop using or buying Roku’s to use with Xfinity.
