[Solved] Paramount+ Login Issue

Hey everyone,

Some users were recently having trouble logging into the Paramount+ app on Roku devices.

Status Update (6/20): We believe the issue has been resolved.

    I never could get it fixed. I ended up creating a new paramount account through the other paramount for Roku app and it worked on that app. Still frustrating that was what I had to do.

    I’ve just paid for paramount plus and it’s giving me the same issue. I’ve tried updating everything. I have unsubscribed from auto pay I wanted to delete the app and reinstall however there is no option to remove the app either. Idk what to do. Paramount works on my phone it’s just not working on Roku.

    This is has been going on for about a week. It's limited to trying to access Paramount Plus on our televisions. I've deleted and reloaded the app, updated the software, and restarted the Roku multiple times. It gets through the login and placeholding screens then goes to the black screen with the 'playback error occurred, please try again' message.

    It's also limited to trying to access local programming, which is pretty much the reason we keep Paramount Plus.

        Sure - I'm not certain which details you need. It is only Paramount Plus, only on our televisions (Hitachi, Vizio, and TCL). The software was updated this morning.  If there are specifics I can provide, please tell me which ones. I appreciate any help.

    Solved just makes people come here & try to weed through the messages looking for the solution which isn’t right to me. Just my two cents.

    Status update 6/9: We're aware of the issue impacting customers with Paramount Plus stuck in a login loop. 

    To help us investigate, can you share the following information?

    • Roku device model, Device ID, Serial Number, and Software version (It can be found in Settings > System > About)
    • Tracker ID (Press Home five times, then press Back button five times)
    • App build version (Highlight the app from the Home Screen and press the Star * Button)
    • How are you subscribed to Paramount Plus?

     

    These details will help us dig into this and keep the investigation moving forward.

      Why does marking it as solved help? 🤔 that just made me think Roku had finally done something about this after how many days? I don’t understand why there’s no fix yet. And what if you don’t get it through prime & can’t do the prime fix?

    The Paramount Plus app will not let me sign in on a Roku Ultra or a Roku TV, but it works on my mobile device. After entering my username and password, it just returns to the sign-in page. I’ve reset, unplugged, and reinstalled the app to no avail. What is my next step?

      Paramount+ admits this is a problem but after 3+ days and several chats, still hasn't managed to fix it yet or give an ETA.  Yes, I can log in on my PC or phone, but it's my TV and Roku I need, and after the page says I'm good to go and go back and watch TV, it's just kicked me back to free trial or sign in.  Had worked fine for a year, and then, something broke! Deleting the app, rebooting, reinstalling, etc. has had no effect...multiple tries.

      After spending hours on the phone and chat with Amazon, Paramount Plus and Roku, I finally did a factory reset on my Roku.  That did not fix it either.  My subscription is through Amazon prime, and no one could help.  I went onto the Amazon Prime app and discovered that I could access Paramount Plus there.  It is a workaround, but they must have changed something.  Good Luck

        I deleted the app , cleared cache, reinstalled app , then went to paramount plus.com/roku and it let me sign in … hope this is a fix that works for all !!

    I've used Paramount Plus on Roku for almost a year. Now, suddenly it's taken me back to the Sign In page but won't sign in. I've Restarted and Power Cycled my Roku. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I can log in on my computer and when I go through the Activation steps, it says it's successful on my computer but then just routes me back to the Sign In page on the Roku. I'm pulling my hair out over this. And Roku support is not being helpful.

      We are aware of the current issue with Paramount Plus. Could you please provide the information below?

      • Tracker ID and OS version, and build (press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
      • Channel build version(highlight the channel and press the star (*) button of your Roku remote
