I'm having the exact same problem with my Roku TV... Going from over the air antenna channels to streaming, the streaming channel blacks out after a few seconds. Have restarted the Roku TV twice. Reset picture settings.

This only started after I installed the Roku Backgrounds app. It never happened before that. I uninstalled the Roku Backgrounds app and restarted the Roku TV... Twice. But it keeps happening. I've been using this TV for months without this problem... It only began after installing Backgrounds.

    Perhaps what Vgeo wrote about the problem starting after installing the Roku Backgrounds App will be a good clue for the engineers working on the problem.

    By coincidence, our TVs never had the problem until sometime after I installed the Background App. I never put two-and-two together before reading what Vgeo wrote. (I have no idea how long after installing the Backgrounds app did the problem start.)

    Unfortunately, removing Backgrounds app didn't solve the problem, but maybe it was the instigator.

      I did a factory reset on my TV and the problem was still there. And I never installed the Roku Backgrounds App.

        Is this what you guys are talking about ?  "A Roku background app is a feature called Backdrops, which turns your TV into a digital art canvas when not in use." 

        If so, forget about it.  I never installed it and my Roku goes dark every time I switch from OTA to Streaming.

    This is what causing a problem top pics for you. Is causing the antenna TV going to Roku streaming TV blackout. for some reason, I can’t send you a photo top of the TV guide not the homepage.

      I hate that we cannot talk to a live technician to tell you exactly what the TVs are doing. I have four Roku TVs and they’re all doing the same thing for the last 34 months.

    Yes, I’m still having the same problem too. I have tried everything they need to get rid of that background that they installed the top pic for you I think is where the problem is.
