For the last week and a half or so, our TV/Hulu autoplay has been working fine. Still running the same version of everything so I’m really not sure why it’s working. Hulu app has not been updated, the Roku system version is still the same. Nothing has changed, but it has been working.
Still not working. Last update was 2 months ago, its now June...what's the deal?! I tell you what I'll never buy another Roku TV again!!
No one should, they're the lowest quality TV's on the market and Roku doesn't have developers to fix this, they outsourced everyone to cut costs and turn the company into a hollow, worthless shell of what it used to be.
I don't know why more people aren't talking about the obvious quality fade they've done.
They've carefully reduced costs and turned the company into a shell, one that can't even troubleshoot its own issues because no one at the company is competent.
RokuMaryEF status? 3 weeks since “testing” on 5/7.
They outsourced all of their development and everyone left at the company is incompetent and doesn't have a direct line of communication with anyone who is.
Now they're even trying to replace more of the customer support team with us, via their new stupid program with hilariously worthless perks.
I don't know why I'm the only one managing expectations or telling the truth about Roku's lack of developers and inability to handle most of these issues themselves.
Anyone WAITING on a fix from Roku is naive. It likely won't come. They broke the Live TV guide and completely ignore it, for example.
Get something else like a used Nvidia Shield for 80 bucks on ebay if you need something that WORKS and was made by people who can actually program, with careers who are in demand in the industry. It literally has ZERO issues, myself and my Shield users on Plex LOVE it by comparison.
If I was hiring and you told me you worked at Roku I would lose your resume in the trash, for example.
I bought a new Roku for my bedroom, but it still won't autoplay. My Roku TV has no problem with autoplay. Stop lying to us!!!!
Anything? Last update was 5/7. This is ludicrous how long it takes you to fix something. Who tested the last rollout? Did you check with other teams before rolling out your change? This is super sloppy IT work and project management. What kind of rinky dink org are you running here Roku? This is a huge mess up and you can’t answer for 💩 this issue will be making me get a different device or tv going forward as Roku can’t be trusted with this clown show of an update. How’d you destroy Autoplay across the board. How much did you save on dev work to outsource it?
This is absolutely insane that it has been over a month now and there is no fix! Will not be buying roku anything ever again.

Going on 3 weeks with no fix, what is going on??
Are they working on fixing the auto play issue in other apps or just Hulu? I've seen posts from others who have the problem in other apps so I know I'm not the only one. I've mentioned a few times, and provided the requested app information, my Paramount+ isn't auto playing either. So it's not just Hulu.
When will this be fixed? My partner and I have been dealing with this issue for a month now and its affecting all our Roku devices and we have a Roku TV & a the Roku Stick. Its getting so tedious to click play constantly on ALL our streaming apps.
I feel as if this is an issue that should have been fixed already....
Whether the firestick is an upgrade or not, at the very least it functions the way it should? Have always enjoyed the classic Roku screensaver so it will be disappointing to throw it away. Wasn't sure about switching until browsing this comment section LOL what a disaster on their end. PEACE ✌️
Firesticks are known to crash, freeze, overheat, and a host of other issues because they're incredibly cheap and underpowered, it's just a warning for anyone thinking they're upgrading, they're likely walking into more headaches down the road.
They truly are the streaming device of the technologically illiterate, who were just told by an amazon ad what to purchase, because no one actually recommends them.
If you have one and you switch in the meantime to get basic functionality, there's no argument there.
Just that if you switch your technosphere over Firesticks, it's a comical downgrade.
If you want an upgrade, a used/refurbished 2019 shield will make google tv, tablo, tivo, and all of their competition look lacking in both hardware and features.
I'm not benefiting from this, just trying to share useful information and save people more stresses, but whatever.
Hi there. Same issues over here. Auto play is not working with Hulu. After every episode it just goes back to the episode menu.
